Default Mystery Sulphur Smell from 405 SRDT SOLVED

For some time we have noticed a strange rotten egg gas type smell coming from the dashboard area. I thought it might be the heater matrix leaking and have had that renewed. There was some signs of leakage so it was time to change the matrix BUT it did not solve the odd smell. Voila!!!! while fitting a Shu-Roo to the SRDT we had to remove the washer tank and there was the source of the strange smell. The washer fluid had gone rotten. As a tip I suggest putting a cup of metho into the washer tank when adding washer fluid. the metho should kill any bacteria. Also we found lots of debris behind the washer tank so all in all it was a worthwhile exercise fitting the Shu Roo.

Ok, this might sound like a stupid question, but what's a "Shu-Roo"??
I reject the reality and substitute my own!!

    Default Shu Roo

Not a silly question. A Shu Roo is an electronic device that sends out high frequency signals discernable to most animals and acts as an alarm for wild animals especially. The range is 400 metres ahead and 50 metres each side of the vehicle. Before you ask they cost $489.00. I think the web site is www.shuroo.com. I figured that it is an investment. I once hit a hare at 120kph, no ordinary bunnies for me! It cost $4,000 to fix
    Hope all this helps Nick
