Default 180 Wiper arm plastic cover

Dont know if anyone else has noticed, but there is a plastic cover over driver's side wiper blade but not one on the passenger side, as indicated by the picture. Couldnt find another 180 pic zoomed in enough to compare it to, is this how other 180's are?

Im bringing this up as i had wiper blades changed at dealership during a service and im wondering if they had unscrewed this off and not put it back on.

One deflector is correct. I'm assuming its some kind of wind deflector.

It's the same set up as on the CC.
    Cheers,
    Michael

Yes, it's only on the driver's side and yes, it is a wind deflector

Ditto for my MY05 GTi180.............as it is the "leading blade" on the down wipe, it helps the blades come back to the scuttle area.

Prime example - watch the in car shots of Bathurst when they are coming down Conrod Straight when it is raining (of course! ) They must have some sort of beefy Dick Smith / Tandy Motor in them!

As per other replies this is correct.

Unfortunately for me I thought the one on the passenger side had been left off by the mechanic who had changed the wiper blades. So I went back and vehemently complained. " Why cant you guys do the job properly blah blah blah..."

He politely told me that there is only one wind deflector

    G'day,
if you like/trust the mechanics, take the a bunch of flowers or a box of beer, together with a big apology. You might feel like an idiot, but it will smooth over any ripples, and they might just remember when they are next playing with your pride & joy
    regards,
    Les W.
