Probably the plastic window lifter is broken or the plastic piece that holds it in place have come loose...had that before on my car as well...

the moter arms don't move either... so it's not like the motor is moving and the glass isn't

I recently replaced the electric motor on my 405 s2 which I am guessing is the same as the 406 or atleast similar (I may be wrong). The way the system works is there is an electric motor connected to a set of plastic cogs which when activated pulls on a set of cables that feed around a set of pulleys and pull the window either up or down. The problem was in my case was that the plastic gears had cracked.

yeap had that problem too...sent it to my mech...he changed the pinion gear, rewound the cable, regreased them...charged me AUD 60 which is ok considering brand new power window unit is AUD 360...

    its been good so far...

I've had the 180 do it a couple of times. Bit worried about it.
