    Default Polishing alloy rims.??????

ive been getting quotes to refurbish my 15"speedlines.
first i was gonna paint them then decided on powdercoating,im now considering getting them polished..
ive been quoted from $75 per rim to $120 on the phone.
i dropped around to a place in richmond and got quoted $85 per rim to strip ,polish.
does this sound reasonable to people out there in the know?????
i like the polished look .-BAZZ

The polished look is great but to keep them that way you have to regulary clean/polish them to keep the polished look, I think you can also get a coating of some sort that reduces the maintanece aspect. If you cruise over forum.205gtidrivers.com and do a search there for polished wheels there should be a heap of info as a number of guys have had there wheels done.

I'm thinking about doing something similar in the future, but do any of these methods remove that stamps in the rim (like serial numbers, or that "ITALY" stamp) ?

ive got polished rimms on the bike and they look the biz....

however your gonna have to be very diligent in cleaning em at least once a fortnight....

Mine have to be rubbed down with polish every second week to keep the sparkle otherwise oxidation, brake duest and water marks appear and are harder to remove if are left on too long.....

my bike is only ridden on weekend too, so if its a weekly commuter then id suggest Powder coating as per Chris's suggestion
