    Default Resetting GTI6 Springs???

Anyone reset their standard peugeot springs before?

I have Koni Shocks and Eibach Pro Kit 35mm springs in my car but im not happy with the ride height.

Ive been advised that the Eibachs are old spun and that you shoukd not get them reset or compressed. Im still waiting on TruTrak suspension to get back to me about modifying the plate on which the spring sits(i think thats what he meant)...however im sure that will be quite expensive so i was thinking of getting my standard Gti6 springs reset.

I know my springs rates are going to be compromised ect...just want to know is this ok to do and will it be a softer ride as im putting the 18"s back on when the front is lowered.

This is how i want the car to sit (my old Apex springs)

so, you figure the lower the car, the more chance you will have with the ladies... i like it, i like it a lot!

now where's that king springs number... oh i just got it why they call it "King" springs...

sorry, back to more serious stuff.

what happened to the 18s? i thought they looked about right with size of the wheels and height, no?

yeh me too im very wary of kings and id like to avoid them at all costs.

    Ive only changed it twice.

On my old OEM shocks i had Apex springs reset to sit about 60mm low. Thats what the first pic is.

Now ive got koni yellow with the eibachs.
1- It sits higher than my old setup
2- it is not as stiff as my old setup and more body roll

The 2nd doesnt bother me as with the 18's i want a soft ride.

My old Apex springs were stiff but even though they were reset the car handled great even on the track.

The pic i had with the 18"s was with my old setup...i just want the car to sit like it used to i havent had the 18"s on since i put the konis in.

I want it to sit like this again

I primarily want to get the car lower because i dont like 4wd ride height plain and simple

    gold, pure gold!

kip' pretty tough in that scene...

yep the shot of the 18s at that height, are like, totally so hot right now... wish i knew about eibach springs, or anything about springs. sorry, i'm no help.

are the wheels to big to go back to the Apex setup? or did they not go as well with the konis as the eibachs did?

resetting peugeot oe springs are ok.just ask petert.
now ive got the same problem in my 205 gti with my koni adjustables, they also make the car sit high, which is great if your rally-ing but i dont usually drive on dirt.
i just got a set of lowered springs that im swapping for a second oe set.
could someone please tell me how rhe ride hight of your car determines your sexuality? ha ha.
what if your bi-sexual.does that mean the front is low and the backs really high[yhink about it]
sagging usually takes years to happen unless you have dodgy springs in the first place.
and for god sake-DONT SHORTEN THEM BY CUTTING OFF A COIL.
keep on truckin with your suspension till your happy with it.
my koni;s give very minimum body roll, its cause the car is higher off the ground that you are experiencing this sensation.

    Drtdvl...no harm done

In all truth, ive noticed in the last 2 weeks, they have a bit of on-throttle lift... Which really upsets me....

If you could reset the eibach's i'd be going to that for sure...
