    Default 205 bung central locking

    hey all!

Having oodles of fun taking my new si round all the corners

But the central locking doesnt work, or rather, it rarely works
I didnt even know i had it (yes i know they all do, it just didnt register) until i went to unlock the drivers door and like magic the other door and the hatch opened up.
When i lock/unlock the hatch it makes a sound like im turning a motor/servo (its the same when i open mums 306 boot - with working central locking!), but the door only made a similar sound that one time it worked.

Any ideas as to what the cause is? Methinks something electrical like a dodgy connection cos its intermitent but i wouldnt really know

Is it fixable by me (no mechanic but technically minded) or do i have to pay someone
If so how much time/money am i up for??

Its no biggie, and i bought a pug cos its sooo fun to not for boring things like locks, but seeing as though its there it may as well work!

    Ta!

    hi brainiac,

with 205gtis central loking will only work from the drivers side door, opening all drivers/passenger/hatch, at the same time.

i'd say ti was the servo in each/either the drivers/passenger side, and not elcetrical. perhaps only needs a clean?

replacement servo should cost you about $120 for non-genuine (as opposed to around $250 for oem.

    works all the same.

bit of a pain as youd need to to remove door trims to test servos.
