    Default GTi180 Clear Indicators???

I had a quick look at a Gti180 the other day and from what i saw the side indicators were a nice clear looking unit much better than the semi opaque 306 unit.

Was wondering if anyone has any pics of there indicators that they can post as i didnt really have a good look at them.

Would it be possible to fit them to a 306?
Anyone know any rough ideas on what these units are worth?

I think that's just the '05 model. My '04 has the opaque lense on the side indicators, a new one I've seen has completely clear ones.

My early experience with Midnite Auto Spares helping themselves to my side repeater lenses (orange in the "Classic" 206GTi) taught me that the fergin mongrels could've saved themselves the risk of getting their butts kicked for a measly $18 or so (IIRC) from their friendly neighbourhood Pug dealer. Then again, I guess if that's your idea of sourcing spare parts when you need them, rocket science probably isn't your day job ...

I thought the only difference between the 05 and 04 model is that the 05 has central door locking button next to the hazard lights lying infront of the centre console display.

All '05 Pugs have clear side indicators. I wonder if there are different part numbers (and prices) between 206, 307, and 407 models. Visually they appear to be the same item.

There is plenty of after market replacements ...

    http://www.body-kit.co.uk/acatalog/p...repeaters.html

But be warned the 206 side indicator is recessed.. I don't know what the 306 one is like ... so a 206 replacement may not sit flush?

And for those with 206's, the clip can be seen by opening the door and looking down the inside of the front guard ... a long screw driver will assist in releasing the clip, instead of risking breaking it when tackling only from the outside (the old slide method).

Yep, all '05 GTI 180's come with the clear indicators.

As for if they will fit a 306, I'm not sure. Just so long as you don't go and put replace the brake lights with altezza's!

Your 306 side indicators are the same as my Coupe. I haven't seen a clear style that would replace them but you can get black. They look like an extension to the side rub strip.

In case anyone is remotely interested, the new C5 also has them.

Also it's ALL GTis that now have the clear lenses, not just 180s.
