    Default 505 Coupe

    Can anyone translate this?

Other than the ugly US spec headlights it looks pretty good for an 80s car

Dunno about alyone else, but all I get is a BLACK (not blank) screen.

Is it the 505 custom one-off coupe that is in the museum ?

It looks a treat! I am quite biased, being a 505 fanatic but I still love it.

Am I wrong, or does the back end look Fiat 124ish?

hows about if i do this ??

wierd... it seems like its only an internet explorer issue. As the picture is broken now that i've decided to use IE... Simple soloution may be switching to firefox. Long soloution may be to resave the file, maybe in a diffrent format and upload it again... though i don't know why it's not working its just a jpeg

let me experiment for a while and ill fix it

all it needs is the little winglet from a GTi boot lid...........

i once toy'd with the idea of a two door soft top 504 when i had three wrecks in the yard, the idea being the retain the well known sedan shape with the slick bonnet and the boot dropping away.......chop 9 or 10 inchs out from the rear passenger area and loose the roof......but then i had nightmares of growing old and grey in the shed still mucking around trying to get it lined up and make everything work properly............lol

The last words are dommage, dommage - meaning shame, shame.

I think the last sentence is something along the lines of; the 505 coupe is stuck at the prototype stage due to lack of interest in North America, shame, shame.

    (more or less).

Roughly speaking - this is the translation.

The 504 is apparently the “missing link” It seems Peugeot developed this coupe for the Nth American market and it failed to make any inroads. One can tell this because of the arrangement of the head lights. The car in the picture is a prototype but never went into production. It is based on the 505. The writer feels it is a great pity it never came to anything.
