Default Quaiffe LSD Kinda Cheao,,, Should i??

On the 205gtidrivers forum they are doing a group buy for BE and MA type diffs. Because there is more than 30 people wanting them thay are pricing them at 425 Pounds each deliverd (to the UK). Now as im putting the MI16 in the 205 as soon as i get home (hoping for about 170HP) i think it would be a good option to get the LSD. Whats your opinion, should i just bite the bullet and get one or see how and open diff goes and then sort it? Im kinda tight for money at the moment but i dont think im going to get one any cheaper.

Cam, yep, you're not going to get it for much better than that locally. If you can afford it, definately do it.

in all seriousness a fully schick torana would probably be a better option then a 205 Mi16

    Point of caution!

If you do that you are running a very serious risk of flipping the car if you go into a skid too hot and you have to lift off the throttle.

A mate of mine did this mod to the diff in his Integra, as I understand it the blocks/shims are spring loaded and push out against the spider gears it isnt super effective at high speed but he claims it is great for accelerating out of slow to med corners.
Someone here might be able to explain this more technically.

    Regards Brendan

I had this done to a 403 diff, a total waste of time, worked for about two corners.

That's a Phantom Grip LSD. Look it up on Google. Neil's got/had one on his 205Mi16 and he swore by it.
