    Default 407 Coupe

It looks sexy and seems to be a real GT.

If only I could afford one of these and a 607 :-)

The HDi would be awesome, imagine all that torque!

Except it is in the order of 250-300kgs heavier, and it doesn't mater which engine is fitted, slower (0-100) than the 406 Coupe.

IMO it is ugly. But maybe it will look better in the flesh. If anyone going to the Sydney Motor Show take some pics and post then here.

What's really scarry is the new XK Jag is under 1600kg, so the 407 is one fat arsed Coupe. Maybe someone from the old Nissan 300ZX design team worked on it.

All that weight out one end, great long nose, front wheel drive and 440Nm from the HDi. Either it will flaunt the laws of physics or be no fun at all. I fear it will be as relevant as it is pretty.

O rub it in, just because you have a 406 But in truth the 406 is one of the best looking car on the road for under the 80k mark even now. The only other GT I would consider is the Alfa GT.

IMO any car that is drawn/designed by a design firm stands the test of time way longer than an in-house job.

Not really scary, as the new XK shares much with the Aston Martin DB9 and Jaguar XJ which use a high amount of aluminium in their subframes/platforms and suspensions. This is the issue with PSA, is they don't have other cars to leverage off when it comes to building big cars.

I like the exterior of the C6 however the centre console is the same as a 407. You think they could have been a bit more adventurous like they were with the C4.

Sadly, I think it actually works less well in the metal. I had a long look. Its proportions are odd and its lines are not very well defined so it looks blobby and frumpy rather than sleek. Somehow the cabin is positioned in the wrong spot, but from some angles it looks too far forward, others too far back. Why anyone would spend money on something so inefficient and yet hardly sporting (too big, FWD) is lost on me. The 406 coupe looked (and still looks) gorgeous, this looks like a mistake.

This is the first photo of the Coupe that is pleasing to my eye. Pity I know what the front and interior look like.

Simon, from that angle, in that colour it looks truly beautiful to my eyes. How can it look so wrong in the metal

Because it was design by a french committee and not an Italian Master (406 Coupe).

From the photos I've seen I like the look of the C6, well the outside. The inside is 407/C5. You would think they could have been more original like the C4.

seems like a pretty good review minus the suspension/steering, i'd still much prefer a 2 door C6 though
