Default 306 N3-N5 Front Upgrade Complete *Pics inside*

    56K Warning on Pics

Finally its finished this is what ive been up to the past 2 months
I have upgraded the front end of my car to a late model N5 front end.
There have been things that have been bugging me on the car for the past year or two that i have finally got around to fixing in one bit hit.

Heres a list of the things done

New Phase 3 Crystal Clear Headlights
    Phase 3 rear Tailights
    Esquiss Badgless Grille
    N5 GTi6 Bonnet
    N5 Raditor support
    Esquiss Rear Bar
    GTi6 Rear Tailgate Latch
    Goodridge Braided Brake Lines
    BJ Union 6000K HID kit

I still need to repaint my 18"s as i was not happy with the finish on them.
But before that ill have to take the car to Tru Trak to get the Eibachs reset to sit lower.

For anyone thinking of doing the swap from N3-N5 front end it involves alot more work than i thought.

    Problems i came across

The radiator support is quite different i was going to chop and bend it but just ended up getting N5 one to make things easier.

The wiring looms/plugs on the N3 and N5 lights are different so they had to be rewired to suit.

So heres some pictures from the early stages of the conversion.
    In spray booth

    Goodrige Lines

I had this latch lying around so though i might as well upgrade that too

    Valeo Lights

18"s masked up getting ready for painting

Bonnet had to be modified to suit the badgeless grille. The panel beater filled in the gap that is usually left for the peugeot badge.

Post some more pics when you get a chance. Where did you get the phase 3 lights and what did they cost?

So the car is now on the road i missed not being able to drive it for so long.
The HID kit is amazing....love the visibility and the clean white light they produce..i dont think i can go back to regular halogen globes again.
Installation was straight forward and only takes about 30mins.

There are still little things here and there i need to fix and repair but most the work is done.
On sunday me and my close friend bought some Zaino Car Products and decided to detail our cars. My paint was looking worn on some of the old panels and im amazed what this stuff can do. The panels look better than they ever had.

    Rear End

Side View (thats my spare on the rear hence the different colour)

    Default Wheels

    Hi
Just looked at your car upgrade.Looks fantastic ! Love the badgeless look.Noticed that you are putting 18" wheels on and just wonder what you are going to do with wheels shown on the car in photos.
I have just bought a silver 98 XT and although this was going to be the first car I was NOT going to modify in any way, it has the most boring factory mags in the world. So I'll just do wheels..... Anyway are yours for sale ?
    Cheers.

I only used 2 coats of that Zaino Z5....me and my mate still have to apply 2 more coats of the Z2 this sunday. Im amazed at how good this Zaino stuff is.

The Crystals cost me $300 each from Peugeot for new genuine Valeo Units.

Did much have to be modified inorder for the bonnet, grille, lights etc etc to fit?
The bonnet fits easy but the Radiator support and the bonnet latch need to be N5 items. Also i have to much about with the hydrolic arms that hold the bonnet up..i havent put that in yet. The lights and grille go in easy once the radiator support was N5. The front 1/4 panels are the same so the lights fit easy.

The stock cyclone wheels im keeping as i dont want to always drive around on the 18"s. Many ppl have asked if im going to sell them but sorry i need them just incase.

I think kyle has these wheels for sale with good tyres too....check the trading post section.

    !

hahah yes that white one is sik...who owns that? I want to sex their mother.

Yes about the panels reggie....my car is the standard green it came in. Andreas panels i bought were sanded down, undercoated and painted the same colour as my car. I have no idea why but sometimes under direct sunlight my car looks sort of purpley green. It really trips me out...it used to do that before i even started to mod it.

So yeh...dunno wats up with that but im not complaining its got a nice metallic through it.

Mate that is one fricken seriously nice motor you got there Alex. You rob a bank or something to afford this??

The guys at 306gti6.com would be well impressed. I could serously go a crystal headlight conversion.

Just a question, why didn't you go the full ho' and modeify the tailgate to the later series style without the black strip on the bottom?

I have serously got to see this car in the flesh.

    Ok, Ive got another question...

With the Badgeless grille, do you have to modify the bonnet at all?

BTW The colour looks bloody awesome, I cant believe that its the original factory colour!

If you read his post again, he's answered that

You need to fill the part where the badge would sit, not hard to do.
I've got to do the reverse, after selling Alex my grille thinking i wouldn't need it, I now need to fill a standard one to look like his

    That's damm tiaaiot.
I've always wanted a black TT; with super deep dish 2-tone black inside & polished lip BBS or Hamman rims, rolling on P-nero rubber, decked on Air-Rider suspention. Handling, pfff who cares it would purely be a poser car. With a Black and Silver numerical number plate (you know those crazy cost plates that are just numbers) and an all Recaro steel grey leather interior with a top-end Becker stereo (no screens), a custom hidden exhausts super quiet, with Crystal Works moon roof. Plus a 1/2 natural carbon fiber 1/2 painted bonnet for tricks. The whole car resprayed in Sikkens Wet Finish candy apple black, with 4 coats of Sikken clear, fully colour coded and F1 Carbo Works mirrors. And a smoke gloss tint.... ok i thought about that for too long. - Chris

..mmmm Nice. I think I know what the 'Kuyza' thing is about. If the owner is of some sort of Turkish back ground then he is emulating the name of a man know as Keyzar Soze, who was a crazy, yet incredibly extrodinary man who took on the biggest & baddest in Turkey & carved a name for himslef.
