Taken few moments before today's incident

That spirited drive had little or no effect on the estimation, after refueling

So you are non believers....................pessimistic bunch you all are......

Would it have little or no coincidence that I was travelling back from the Blue Mtns to Sydney, on a weekend with double demerit points. This is a downhill run for around 40kms. Filled up at Springwood BP - price was 124.9c if that helps??

Get your Adobe Photoshop/MS Publisher and try for a another figure.

At the end of the day, try and beat it - in a realistic way. FIGJAM

Aww, I'm just jealous, the only "trip computer" I have in the 306 is the little orange light next to the fuel gauge, which tells me when my trip is gonna end real soon if I don't fill up

At least you have a little orange light! In the 505 you know you better start finding a petrol station once the needle drops about 30mm below the empty line

    60l.

That's not its usual range, btw I was rolling for around 15km

Best result I got was on an economy run - 4.5l/100km. I can tell you I was really trying for that, although I have to admit going up the twisty Arthur's Seat Rd at the end, I did open it up a little.

1.9 TDI will do 1279km in country driving (4.3l/100km).
Manged 5.7l/100km in the 1.6 FSI.

I completely agree!! Both my wife and I were EXTREMELY HUNG OVER and Nova 969 at the time was a bit too full on. In hindsight, I should have turned the CD player off before admitting that I have that station on a preset!!

But then again, my ears are still bleeding today from hitting the Black Eyed Peas concert @ Homebush last night.

return trip melbourne - sydney in the new scenic, 5 people on board, boot full of luggage, being lazy and using cruise control, aircon running all the time of course: 7.6 l/100 km. Got from the first BP station on the Hume out of sydney (campbelltown??) to southeast suburbs of melbourne on the one tank of Ultimate - not much left thugh, the silly low-petrol beep (louder than the horn!) first sounded as I got to the Hume/Ring Road junction.

I wonder how much is wasted through cruise control accelerating up to the peaks of hills. I guess I could always test it...
