Good price - not unheard of in Melbourne either.

Currently there's a slightly funny ad in Melbourne for SAAB. "Sven" (hardly a common name in Sweden these days, btw) has ordered too many cars, so you can get new 9-3s from $39,900 - $8k off.

Funny thing, in the same section of the paper, there was an article on how SAAB sales have really slumped this year - haven't even sold 1000 cars for the year yet. A pity.

Yea, Insurance for P-Platers is really really expensive. I dont find the yearly amount that bad to swallow but the excess is just so expensive. I think on the Commodore if a (fingers crossed) have to make a claim, its $1700 excess and this is on a car with an agreed insurance value of $7000.

I suppose this car is quite a favourite with 17 year old P'platers like me (who do like to make claims on a regular) and according to the insurance statistics, they must get pinched a fair bit?

Cant wait for the joys of Peugeot Ownership!

Huh? I've been with Shannons since I was 22. At that time, the Mi16 was costing me $894 a year.

I don't have any cars with full comprehensive anymore. I drive bombs that cost less than a years comprehensive insurance premium. They get me from point A to point B just as effectively as the fancier cars I've owned have. Insurance at the moment for me is about $175 per year per car. I'm contemplating upgrading to third party with fire and theft, but I don't think anyone wants to steal my cars.
