    604 Day

Well I am now the proud owner of a 1979 604, but I might add there is a LOOOONG way to go, I spend 4 hours with a mate a 4x4 and a car trailer pulling and pushing this car out of the blokes yard OUCH !

Next week the 3 speed auto box goes in for a re-build, reverse clutch's are stuffed soo good time to re-build while engine is out !

Then we will pick up the Volvo fuel injected motor to go in it and then....well who knows !

    Just if anyone cares

    Ben

PS will post some pics on my web site soon !

Yeah, we care... does the Volvo block have the same bellhousing bolt pattern? I know one of them is different, but it may be the Renault...

And I have a good box that just needs a rear seal... going free... in Queensland.

Also note the ad in the classifieds for a car being wrecked.

    Ray,

The Volvo does have the same bell housing bolt pattern, but it does have some other odd bits that we now need to overcome!

We had all the bits from our old engine so thats OK!

So far we have had to put the Altenator off the Pug motor on it and also the water pump as they are different and wont fit in the pug correctly !
