Go and see him. I have had my sisters car serviced there once, and i have spoken to him several times. He is excellent, and very reasonably priced.

Or, if you want a frog specialist, go and see Colin at Alpine Affaire. (9879 1961) I get my car looked there and they are also fantastic, and reasonably priced.

Depends on what you mean by 'best'. You may be able to get an ok job cheaper, but for my work I go to Danny and Paul at Autoparis in Box Hill. They are not the cheapest, but offer the best workmanship in Melb IMHO.

second that, and I've had quotes over $400 cheaper there too. Danny would have to be one of the Mi16/205Gti gurus of Melbourne for sure

yeah got to agree danny at auto paris has to be one of the most thorough guys ive seen work around and under a 205.

i had work done there recently, and i cant fault it. he even took me on a tour of my car - from under the hoist, and gave a comprehensive assessment on things to watch out for and other parts that are in good condition. he and paul later gave me some options for future work/mods... with low and high price brackets in mind.

my s3 had routine servicing done at alpine affaire, and the previous owner could not fault their care and workmanship, either.

another passionate bloke is david cavanagh from french connection. ive taken my s1 there a few times, without any problems.

guess when it comes down to it, if it is for routine servicing, it would be safe to take it to any number of french car specialists here in melbourne.

for more specialist advice, i'd give danny a call from auto paris first. and they may be moving to bigger and better premises soonish.
