Default Who are the 205 Gurus in Melb?

    Sydney has Peter T
This morning my 205 started making an intermittent noise thru the drivetrain
Are there any AF'ers with 205s in Melb who would be kind enough to have a listen/drive over the weekend?

can you describe the noise in more detail .
also when it happens ie-cornering,starting off, stopping, accelerating hard. etc.
someone may be able to diagnose the problem at hand and youll know where you stand in regard to repair costs and part availability.-BAZZ

Thanks for replying, I know from past threads that you and a few others have done extensive work on your front ends hence the plea.
Driving this morning its sounds a bit like an engine mount, there is a clunking sound on take of and a similar sound going on and off the throttle at low speed at high speed it is barely noticeable. I am not getting any feedback thru the steering. where do you suggest I look first?

    Regards Bugsy

prob not engine mount. have a look at top and bottom mounts tho. they do wear out quite quickly but don't generally cause any dramas

drive shaft ie cv joint noise is more likely in my op. hav a look c and to c if u can c if any of your drive shaft boots have split. there will be grease flicked everywher if they have. also c when it happens, full r lock, full left lock, all the time... good luck
