    Default 505 diesel gearing

I would still like to find out from someone the final drive gearing on a 505diesel 3speed auto.Is it different to a petrol model? What would engine revs be at 100k's per hour.
    Surely somebody knows the answer.
    I am waiting patiently.
    Cheers

Didn't I answer this the other day?

3.7:1 is the NA diesel diff ratio in 504 and 505 sedans. Where is your previous thread about it?

Yes I did read your thread but I am sure you said the petrol gearing was 3.7:1 and you were not sure if the diesel gearing was the same..I still would like to find out if someone knows RPM at 100ks per hour in top gear, then I would have all the info I want.
    Thanks David.

You can't work that out without measuring the tyres...

I can't think that I mentioned petrol and 3.7 in the same breath. 3.78 is the TI diff, 3.89 the standard petrol 504 diff. I knew they weren't the same.
