    Default Any updated model 206's?

    Hey guys!
Just wondering if you guys knew peugeot has any plans to update their 206's anytime soon. (Gti 180 in particular)
The reason I'm curious is that I see other manufacturers like the New VW Golf Gti, Toyota Corolla Sportivo, Subaru WRX, etc etc getting new looks/specs every few years and thought if this might be the same case with peugeots 206 line.

I see. There's nothing wrong with the current 206's looks but some sort of newness would be nice.
I've never seen a pic of 207's so I might do a bit of search on the net and see if I can find in pics or info's on it.
    Cheers!

With the 207 just around the corner, I doubt there will be any updates to the 206.

I think the 206 could have run a longer race with a bit of a facelift and a new interior like the Clio. Oh well... Lets hope the 207 looks better in the flesh I guess.

There's talk that 206 production might continue for a few years, to help bridge the gap between the 107 & 207. It will definately be in production in China (there have been spy shots of the sedan going around for ages) & Iran.

For a nice 206 update, they could just make the GTI's with the rally car body kit like this

Dunno about this. The 206 has been on sale since '99 I think (and with at least 3 if not 4 spec/look changes), but the 180 has only been available since 2nd Qtr '03 at the earliest. The Clio design has really been around for longer again.

The WRX gets updated far too often in my opinion (are they that unsure of their own designs?) and I'm not sure what to say about the Sportivo. The Golf IV was around for a long time - just because the new one has just arrived I don't think every other mob have to update at the same time - and the Golf is really in the 307/Megane class anyway, yes?

I haven't seen too many "real" pictures of the 207 - but certainly lots of obviously fake ones. I hope it doesn't look like any of them
    Regards,

Yes, and it would be awesome for them to put out a 4WD turbo version.

I have read that there won't be 207gti, but a 107gti. Probably along the same lines as the 106gti which we didn't get here

I would be in heaven if they released a 4wd turbo 206.... Or better yet re-release the 205GTi Turbo 16...

    Default Peugeot 207

Hey guys, sorry to dig up an old thread but I found some more information on the 207 which I thought you guys might be interested in.

    Quote from channel4.com:

    "Peugeot 207
On sale early 2006, the 207 is developed on Citroen C3 platform and is longer and higher than 206. Expect much-upgraded cabin quality and kit including curtain and knee airbags. Some engines as per C3, but range will ultimately include new four-cylinder petrol units developed in partnership with BMW, to be shared with MINI. Diesels the latest from PSA-Ford collaboration. SW estate (with three individually-folding/sliding/tumbling rear seats) and coupe models to follow, plus 'RC' hot version with 2.0-litre 190bhp engine."

Here's the link where the info was on http://www.channel4.com/4car/future-models/2006-4.html

There are heaps of different pics for 207 on the net but nothing is confirmed so lets hope its not going to be one of those ugly photos that are circulating the net

It seems that there is going to be some upgrade for RC power output

The 206 in my opinion looked like a girls car, this changed with the 180s release, but the 207 just looks like even more of a girls car.

The drawing was okay, but tha actual photo just looked crap.

I agree with you Dr.306. However none of the photos are "official" so lets hope the official release of the 207's are impressive in looks and performance that are not inferior to the very successful 206's.

I think I read it somewhere that the 207 "concept" is going to be shown in the Franfurt Motor show on Sept 05 than officially revealed on Jan 06.

The main difference is that the GTi badge on the 180 isn't a joke. When the bog standard Corolla has the same Kw as a GTi badged 206 you have to worry.

    180 = Hot hatch
GTi = warm / shopping trolley.
