winner of the "when mods go bad" award I'm sure but they've omitted that in the description...

I think there's a remote chance that maybe a 17-18 year old might like it because it looks like something out of need for speed underground but why go to all that effort (carbon fibre hood- for a 1.6L engine). Trouble is the 17-18 year old wont have $18000 to spend

I wonder how much the mods cost. They've got to have lost a lot of money on that car.

I don't mind the bonnet. Wouldn't mind nicking it and puting it on the 180.

    Poor pug

I can see that being stripped and left on bricks if parked in certain areas of
sydney. Thats all we need, hoons being attracted to pugs, so a blackmarket on pug performance/cosmetics and factory parts can start up just like they have on jap ricer's (WRX, 200sx, Skylines etc)

I hope that PUG's dont go down that path, i bought my car on the basis of its rarity and not an attraction to the typical hoon, cars like the above dont help................

And here I was thinking that most people buy pugs for their handling characteristics & decent engines...

Handling and engine played a factor when i was considering the pug, but rarity played an important part as well.

those mods would certainly not come cheap

its also an auto, with a momo shifter? why? why god, why?

its a pity that all that money has gone into making the car look "good" instead of actually making it a better car to drive

the one cool thing about it is that carbon fiber hood, its a pity that the weight saved on it is wasted in things like a playstation and tv and probably about 30 kilos of other audio equipment, g0t irony?

atleast someone had fun with it... if they want to do this to their car good on them... sure it may not be everyone's taste, but you need to respect the fact someone has put alot of work into it, ragardless of how ugly it may look.

People should be able to do what they want to their cars, but I can't understand how you could buy a base model car (especially an auto) and do that up.

I actually don't think it looks too bad, especially when you compare it to what they do to Pugs over in Europe. Pity there are no engine mods though, probably goes like an "asthmatic ant carrying a very heavy load...".

Hey nothing against the body styling imho, but what describes it as true rice and made me luagh is the fact that they did it to a base model if this had of been done to a GTi i may have been slighlty impresed.

The only saving grace would be if it's a car sound/show car.

i suppose this person weighed up their options before they bought the car

option 1: buy a base model and with left over money put it towards customising the car

option 2: buy the premium model and do nothing to it

their priorities obviously lied with option 1.

I'd love to see this car at the next french car day HAHAH, that will rock the establishment LOL.Some of the oldies will get a heart attack.

The only things i dont like with that car is:
-the fact its a 1.6 auto
    -ghey colour
-Need for speed underground sticker kit
    -And the neons.

otherwise the kit is smooth, wheels are nice, interior is hot, half decent sound sys.

However i think this 'accolade' is questionable-Winner of "Purrfect Peugeot" award at Sydney Auto Salon 2004!!
I would have loved to see the other Purrfect peugeot contenders LOL

All in all, the car would look hot when ordering a big mac at Bell St Maccas.

I've read that a turbo kit is easiest to fit on the 1.6 engine that the gti one.

Having seen it in the metal, those photos do not do justice to how pukalicious that colour really is! Between that and the stickers it looks slightly wrong somehow, not quite in the usual 'rice' way though. Which is sad really, as it almost could have been made to look good...

But it was pretty funny seeing him get own3d by another french car that he didn't even recognise

The more I look at it, the more I really like that bonnet. Might contact the guy & see where he got that done. I think it'd go really well on the black 180!
