    Icon5 306 Ceiling Console noise??

Hi I have a '97 306 XR and there is an annoying buzz from the centre console in the middle of the ceiling at the front... Is there a fan in there? It certainly sounds like it (although I can't really see why they'd bother).

I've been tempted to pull the panel down but I dont want to break any plastic tabs.

does youre car have climate control (turning the fan speed too auto)? if it does then up there is a little fan for that function cos that is where the interior temp sensor is and fan is so it doesnt get stale air sorta thing. get a flat blade srew driver, take out the main light and there should be torx screws behind there. loosen and itl come loose. see what u can find with it. good luck

    No, I don't have a sunroof.

Yes I have climate control (or so I believe), I will try taking it out tonight.
    Thanks for the help.
