Icon13 206 best one to choose??

I would like to have the best car that's low on insurance, 5 doors, high MPG and HAS to be easily tuned But which engine size and type should I go for?? Anything up to 8,000!! The roads are pretty dangerous in Lincs so on an over-take the less time I spend on the other side of the road, the better....so a good time to get from 50-100mph should also be considered!!!
Do they put turbo's in the 206??

Turbo? What you talkin' bout, Willis?

    Cheryl, welcome...

...for 8K over there you should be able to pick up an early 206GTi - no turbo, but plenty quick enough.

    Cheers

Five doors and high mpg then it has to be a diesel. We don't get diesel 206s in OZ but I know you get them. Don't know the prices though, but the 1.6 HDi might fit your budget.

50-100mph??? If you're not finished overtaking by the time you get to 100mph you must be overtaking a train!

Blimey - sorry - didn't notice the '5 doors' spec. No GTi then...

ok 50-70mph would be a good overtaking speed......but........the amount of times when your stuck behind 3-4 cars, then you don't want the power to be tailing off at the higher end of the revs!! Plus a gear change inbetween would also delay the overtake!! in addition, the high mpg is petrol. I've found the GLX 1.6 which does 49mpg. plus, nothing beats the sound of a turbo spinning up!!!!
