    Default Aftermarket Car Alarm...

    Hi Guys,

2 Weeks ago, I installed a aftermarket alarm. It's a Rhino RA. However, because my car is multi-plexed (doh!) they had to put a relay in the car, and wire it up through that. Now because the 206 interior light has a gradual turn on/off feature, the relay inside for the alarm has a electric zapping noise as the door is opened or closed. I've been told this is normal, as it's the relay adjusting to the light as this is where the alarm is hooked up to. Now I also get a Anti-Pollution fault.

I was wondering if anyone has had similar problems with aftermarket car alarms on Multiplexed Pugs etc.

    Thanks

Any reason you didn't go with a genuine Pug alarm? Easy to incorporate with a mux car.

I'm guessing you've got one? I'm getting mine installed now... I was a bit worried because I don't know much on it and felt a bit more confident in an aftermarket one since I could figure out what's it all about.

Is there anything you can tell me about it? Or is it just standard?

I don't have one but members of the http://206GTi.net group do. I suggest jumping on there and asking your questions.
