Congrats on your purchase. Best system to produce HP? If you don't want to lose low to midrange torque, then probably the factory setup is the 'best system'. If you want just sound, I've heard one of those BMC carbon dynamic 'super duper $$$$' ones on a friend's civic vti-r which totally transformed the sound, but made only 0.5 kW difference proven by dyno. Not much on a engine which revs high and therefore relies heavily on a free flowing system.
    Take the long way home....

Short answer, none. Spend your money on learning how to drive the car at its limit and you will soon discover it has more than enough power.

As boys suggested above, but ill answer your question in extreme. Fly with engine head to Prodrive in England (or Pugsport France if you speak french).
Have custom quadthrottles, made to suit head, have cutom grind cams (stage 2 or 3) installed, with 3-angle seats and new titanium valves, with new heavy duty lifters. Have new injectors and a replacement intank pump made up. Have a custom 2cubic litre Carbon air box made up to seal in the throttle intake trumpets. Have box insulated from surrounding area. Bench flow the whole thing to make aproximately 300-350Bhp at the crank.
Bring back to oz, realise you don't have enough money to register with engineers certificate and sell to me at a bargain price. ! - Chris

ps. Sorry but if you must, get a K&N re-usable drop in filter.
    ... ptui!

Like chris said a drop in replacement filter would be the best option
    BMC
    Green
K&N would all be good choices

Orrrrr you could get a BMC CDA intake for it...they are expensive but if you could get a 2nd hand one it would be worth it.
