    Default 306 induction sound

What sounds better/louder/more memorable. The gti6 (with pod filter), or the civic vti-r (also with pod filter).
Matter of fact which car do you guys reckon sounds better in general? My bros mate has a vti-r jap spec (with pod)and my bro has a gti6 completly stock. He reckons his mates civic sounds awesome tho.
Shed some light, anyone actually done any comparisons?

Nothing sounds better than a set of quadthrottle bodies on a 16v lancia... imo. - Chris

No i was just adding to a silly thread... . A Feza V10 sounds to much like an F1 car!...lol. I actually like the sound of a rotary Peripheral Port... but as I said in the porsche thread, The Modena Challenge woo hoo! - Chris

VTiR sounds great at the 5500rpm VTEC crossover point...before that sounds average.

I used to love the sound of high revving VTECS but im starting to like the nice deep induction noise of the GTi6 better. Ive got a BMC CDA on my Gti6 motor and when the variable length inlet runners open up at 4500rpm the car induction sounds insane. I love it.

Many of my homo VTEC driving friends comment that it sounds like VTEC.

They both sound great in their own way. I love the almost high revving sound of a vtec motor, but also love the way the gti6 engine doesn't sound like a jap 4 cyl. In fact a few of my friends who've heard my car at full ball have commented that it doesn't actually sound like a 4 cyl and a couple thought it was a v6!
    Take the long way home....

Yes, the GTi6 engine note has a certain character that most Jap engine lack, the induction note sounds great. Coming from a Euro (italian mainly) car background, I find that most Jap performance 4's sound overly clinical/refined to the point of boring sounding.
