    405 mi16 rear toe in

    o k people.my mi16 seems to have a lot of toe in at the rear.this is great for handling but is 4mm normal?if not can it be adjusted?

    If checked on a good machine, properly and is actually 2mm each side, then 4mm is OK. Much better than 2mm toe out, that would cause instability. I would think the tyres would wear normally and any problem that is felt in the rear, would more likely be shocks. there are some large rubber mounts that can be looked at, but these rarely give trouble.

    In any case the rear toe is not adjustable by normal means,

    i find my left side outer tyres always wears away, very quickly...
    .
    i dont think the rear is adjustable, maybe if you get some things customised, bushes or something maybe..

    If on the rear can be caused by failure of the bearing that supports the arm. Jack it up with the wheel still on, and see if you can get any movement. Obviously don't jack on the arm.

    Don't know about the 405, but rear toe in is certainly adjustable on the 406, though not on the 306.

    The 405 has a scaled-up 205 rear suspension and no, the geometry is not adjustable at all. Beware of failed trailing arm bearings. That's the only bit that can vary the factory geometry settings, as they wear or ruat away, as the case may be....
