to make a widebody style kit there is a few ways to go about it. your best bet would be to import a kit or find someone that has them, this will be your cheapest and best method of having a widebody kit.

next is getting a custom fabricated one. here it can be done two ways: #1 - Fibreglass, probably the cheap way out, and will allow you to have a more realistic style kit,. #2 - the more expensive way to have a widebody kit is by having the arches manufactured from metal/fibreglass is some parts and generally alot of bogg. this will be a stronger way and a safer way generally then the fibreglass option.

Not sure of people that can do this type of mod in Melbourne, but up here upwards of $6000 isn't uncommon ranging through to $10,000.

so it would be cheaper to import a real kit that will fit better, and although this will probably be fibreglass too... if you hit something hard enough metal isn't going to save you either.

Dimma actually have real wide-body kit for the 206 that mimics the flares on the actual rally car reasonably well.

    Their website is here: <a href="http://www.dimmasales.co.uk/index.html?main.html" target="_blank">Dimma's Website</a>

Their site is a little difficult to navigate but if you look at their 206 WRC or wide-arch kit they have the body kit and (if you won Lotto) can also build you a full WRC replica based on a cosworth 4wd turbo platform.

Their parts are expensive (read very expensive) but look awesome.

According to Dima kit is 2350 pounds but according to article with Cosworth conversion the Kit is 1750 Pounds from the UK shop, don't know too much but 600 Pounds is almost a return trip to the UK isn't it? and the box it packs into doesn't weigh too much its actually under 35Kg and pretty compact for what it is so travel light and declare it as a gift.

Auto Paris have imported and fitted the Esquiss Auto Impact kit, expect to pay $15K fully fitted/painted.

kit ex France/UK is $5K approx, add freight, tax, extras such as lights, wings, skirts, fuel cap, fitting, spraying....then you know why it'll cost 15K.

Or as Asanka mentioned, buy the GTi they've done for $45K (but dont pay more than mid 30's) wink
Includes 18" ROH wheels, M3 mirrors, devil exhaust, lowering, tail lights etc.

i went to 2 panel shops in melbourne a while ago, 1 panel shop suggest they could perform body widening by pulling the guards out and cost around $500 - $700, while the other one suggested they would have to cut approx 0.5 cm of the guard, hence pulling them out. any ideas guys?
