    front end stutter

    front end stutter at or near full lock in my 405 mi16.align specs seem good.any ideas??????

    can you hear any clicking noises ???
    if so you are up for new CV joints

    What if you hear a kind of thumping or bumping as you accelarate out of corners? It happens while the wheel is turned about a quarter of a turn.

    there isnt any c v clicking.its seems like the tyres are loading up then jumping out.maybe its the outside tyre only????

    no thumping or bumping.and its only at or near full lock

    tyres are quite old,and in need of replacement,maybe thats the trick.thhanks for all your replies,would love to hear any other suggestions.

    have you checked all your suspension bushes ??
    wheel bearings ??
    anything and everything that moves underneath ??

    how long have you had the car ?
    when did you start to notice the symptom ?
    have you hit any big potholes or gutters ??

    Try inspecting the sway bar ball joint linkage arm. had a funny noise out of corners in my 306 replaced it with a new one problem was solved.

    I think he's saying there is no noise, but a juddering sensation...

    Sometimes it might be a good idea if the whole description can be put into the first post so everyone can be clear on what's going on.

    I had a judder on lock in my 405 which I diagnosed as being kickback from the power steering hydraulics (sticky valve or something similar). It came, annoyed me for a few weeks and then dissapeared. I could only describe it as feeling like a huge lump on a tyre.
