    '97 306 xsi Cooling Fan

one cooling fan does not function. There is current to the relay under the bonnet catch and the relay works. My next step is to try and remove the fan itself to see if something has caused the fan motor to stop.
has anyone else experienced anything similar, if so, ws there a simple solution.

Howdy mate, and welcome. Don't laugh, but have you tried turning the blades to see if the fan's seized? I've recently rebuilt three seized fans (not on a Pug) so I know it's common.

Last year both my engine fans seized and the motors blew up. This cost me just under a $1000 to have them rebuilt and put back into working order.

you need to take the grille out and the front bar off
once you have done that you have plenty off access to the fans
you can just abour touch them from under the front of the car to see if they are spinning by hand first
there are also 3 relays in the centre at the top above the fans as well
