    Peugeot Servicing Aust Wide!!!

I Thought i would start this post, beacuse quite a number of people ask this question, however i can't find a thread that discusses this question australia wide.
So who are the best, and most cost efective people to service our pride and joy.
Sydney, melb, adel, perth, qld, act, geelong, tassie??

I have had good dealings with:
    Auto Paris, in Melbourne
    French connection, also in Melbourne.
The best guys in Adelaide would have to be,
Lion automobiles, and Charles Street Auto repairs.
What about everywhere else in Australia
And if there are certain mechanics we should stay away from.

Well, my experience with servicing an older pug in Melbourne has found that Justin Fisher is really great. He is on 26 Whitehorse Rd in Balwyn. Labour rates are really great (around $60 I think, you get a discount if you're a member of the PCCV) and he is always happy to have a chat and show you why something doesn't work on your car etc.

I've had mixed experiences with Universe Motors. I think it depends on who you get there. Generally the quality of work was fine, however their labour costs are huge, and I also think they overcharged for some parts (even compared to regan's prices eek! ).

In Hobart I have found Craig Salmon at French Car Care to be the best man for both Pug's and Cit's he really knows his stuff!

    Cheers

My family have been taking cars to Alpine Motors in Canberra for 20 years now and have had great service.
You know they get it right when you never have to take the car back for any reason. Reno, Pug, new or old, they know them inside out.

I'll second that comment from Ben. If you're in Tassie go to Craig at French Car Care. He proves that it's worth going to a marque mechanic to save from run-of-the-mill mechanics not knowing about "french quirks". Also, being a french car fan, he'll let you see what else is going on in the workshop at the time and will take the time to talk to you about things.

If you're in Melbourne, and want a mobile French specialist who will come to you (who himself is actually French!), I strongly recommend Elliot Tune Mobile. I have always found him to be thoroughly intuitive, competent, reliable and great value because he gets to the heart of any problem quickly.

Elliot helped me in an emergency on Christmas Eve several years ago when no one else would help (including my regular mechanic at that time who laughed at my request for help - Grrrr!) If it weren't for Elliot, I would have been without my car for the Christmas break (a disaster!) but he dropped everything to help a stranger for which I was immensely grateful.

Elliot did his apprenticeship in France at Citroen and he personally owns and drives a series 1 405 Mi16, obviously after hours! His mobile number is: 0412 391 205.

Oh, and he's not a relative or anything like that! wink

I'll second nJm on Justin Fisher. Top bloke and top mechanic. Honest too, one time he gave me a call about a month after my car had been serviced, to tell me that he had overcharged me $20 on a part.

Auto Paris: is that Sam Mechkaroff? If so, his shop is now called Lion's Den. I'm not sure if he sold or renamed Auto Paris.
