    Default 307cc power increase

    I am all but sold on the 307cc but... theres just not enough power. It'll be my wife's car, and with kids she understandably wants the auto, this means we are stuck with the 100kw engine! It's just not gonna work for us. Does anyone know if there are power mods, chipped engines or other options for the 100kw baby?

    Have a 100kw manual 307CC. I am quite happy with the power, if you keep the revs up a bit on hills etc. Cannot say about the auto though!

    We also have the 100kw manual. I did drive the auto and was totally underwhelmed.

    More power would be very nice, but if you actually like to drive a car, rather than just cruise around in top gear, power is OK. Powerchip have a software upgrade that increases power up to 113kw, but I do not have any other info about the product, it might be good but I don't know.
    Indecision is the key to flexibility.....I think.

    As I understand it, Power chips are useless because:

    a) you don't get the power increase they advertise;

    b) the next time you have a service/recall the Pug technicians will reset the electronics, losing your power chip mod.

    Better off to teach her to drive a manual (and/or teach the kids to behave in the car) and get the 130kW version!

    Cheers
