recommended mechanic for 307

[Tim Dwyer]

Heading off in a few days on a long haul in the 307 diesel. It's due for its 20,000 k service: I was going to get it done on my return, but now I'm thinking i'll do it before...

Can someone recommend a really good mechanic around the inner west in Sydney? (Prepared to go further though if it's worth it...)

I havent heard of any good ones in the inner west, they all seem to be nearer the city. Dont use the parra dealer

I am considering taking the 405 for a timing belt to this guy.

New, Perfect and not expensive mechanic in Sydney.

Mehari first posted about this guy on 20 October, that's 10 weeks now. There have been numerous post on this since, but unless I'm mistaken, non since that have actually used this fellow or even spoken with him. I would have thought that, given the publicity, this guy would have done work for many forum users by now:

Sorry for not replying to you earlier. I made it into a small pdf file.

Very helpful. Only reason I was saying to take it to that guy in Lugarno was for my own lack of time. I run my own business from home, and the nature of my business is very random with regards to time.

You can try Colliers at Granville on James Ruse Drive (between Parramatta road and the M4 exit). I haven't personally used him (as everything gets done by me) but he is good for parts and comes across as very knowledgeable. Haven't heard any bad reports. he specialises in Pugs and Renaults.

I've posted this in another thread already but it doesnt hurt to say it again

Just taken my car to Lloyd in Lurgano. Simple radiator related issue. Seems like a nice enough guy but will keep you posted on how the quality of repairs.
