    peugot 504 towbar

I went to put on the ball which was in the boot and teh standard 50mm was too big.
Is theer anywhere I can pick up a smaller one to fit my 1974 504 diesel?

Dumb question, maybe ??? or have I missed something here ??

What was too big ??. The 50mm connection for the coupling or the threaded shaft of the tow ball that goes through the hole in the tow bar.

Whatever, take your car to any reputable autoparts outlet and I am sure you will find a solution to your problem

    Cheers

No... if it's the hole is too small, just go to an engineering shop and get it drilled out. They'll laugh at you for not being able to do it yourself, probably do it for free because they feel sorry for you... let them!

if it's the ball too big for the coupling, yes, you need a 1.875 ball, but you have to get a one-piece, two piece ones (the coach bolt forms the top and goes through the casting) are now illegal.
