    Default 404 station wagon rims

Hi all, am wondering if 15" VW rims will fit my 404 station wagon. Being a wagon it has the 5 stud wheels instead of the 3 stud found on the sedan.

    cheers

    Richard

    Ford F100 bolt straight on...

VW? Nothing I can think of in a VW that comes close.

We had to machine the centers out on the f100 rims we put on dad's african 404. Also used 16 inch turanza tyres from verada, only about $116.00 at the time (5 years ago), probably cheaper now.

    hi richard

i used suzuki sieera 4x4 wheels on my 404 ute years ago .the stud pattern is same also the rims are 15 inch, but you will have to drill them as the suzuki studs are smaller.do not forget to flare the holes for the nuts to seat in .

1980s jeeps and Diahatsu 4X4s also fit but holes also have to be enlarged.
6" is about as wide as you can go for rear clearance under full load.

    Hey Richard,

Great you're here @ aussiefrogs too! Glad you were able to drop by my place today to see me and my old 404 C.

What is wrong with your present rims? If they're rusty, why not just blast and then powdercoat them?

What is this? A Canadian conspiracy?

Are you sure you didn't invite him, Mike?

Ray, you're getting suspicious in your old age

Sure, I invited Richard over to see me and the car, but he found this place all by himself...
