    Default Windscreen wiper watwer pump.

    Hello,

My 405 window wiper water pump is dead. Itís now not making any sound what so ever, does anybody know where to get one, or have any suggestion to fix it?

Are you sure its the pump is dead?

Could it be as simple as a fuse? Or bad a bad wire?

Best test is to remove the pump and connect it to 12V DC. see if it does anything. If not, then you can consider it fubar!

First check is to see if there's 12V at the connector - you'll need an assistant to pull the lever while connecting a voltmeter (multimeter) or a 12V lamp across the terminals. If it lights/gives 12V, and the test above says that the motor is cactus, check out the thread below. I had the same problem and it was just a siezed motor.

You can get one from a Peugeot dealer. Best off not to buy a second hand one as it probably won't last very long. You can pull it apart clean out the rust and gunk and lube it up, however they usually don't last that long afterwards anyway. New one of these is the best bet.
