Just a quick question, by changing the stereo, will you loose all the other information on the Display such as the Temperature, Date Time??

    Thanks

In the vast majority of cases yes, but some adapters will keep your steeringwheel controls, head on over the 206gti.net and you might find some other answers.

    Oh and welcome to AF.

Guy, I thought you lost the radio and CD display, but the temp and time still stayed up there? No?

    Hey
You will only lose the CD display or radio display and the use of the steering remote control unlesss you can find an adaptor!
I recently put in a clarion headeck with focal splits and Focal rear speakers in its original holes. In the boot a have a 11inch Focal subwoofer! It sounds superb!

    Thanks everyone

I was just worried that if i change to a sony MP3 player, i would lose the Display all together. Its good to know that its just the music display that gets lost.

Cant wait to go car shopping !!

9/10- times your new head deck will have it's own display .. one of the ones that blacks out 100% would look good in the dash (and less attractive to the casual thief) ... it is nice to maintain the stalk controls through (safer too). Also while driving at night the lower the contrast from your stereo the better IMHO.
