According to UK-specification, the 'Series 2' SRi's had ABS as an option.

If it has be optioned, an ABS warning light should flash when you start the car.

If that doesn't indicate whether you have ABS, surely a sudden stop should make it clear?

Alternatively, look inside the bonnet immediately behind the RHS headlight and you will see the ABS booster pump with six hydraulic lines attached to it... clearly marked ABS.

There will (should) be those metal brake lines coming out of a block. The block will also have initials in relation to the respective brake, ie: FR, FL, RR, RL. Front Right, Front Left...etc.

This is off the top of my head as I just started to get into pugs and saw my one today with ABS.

Why not just drive it onto some grass, preferrably wet above 10KPH and stand on the brakes.
You'll soon find out if you've got ABS or more correctly if you have, if it's working as the pedal will hammer under your foot.

If it ain't broke, use a 12" shifter.....that usually does the trick!!

I agree with Alan. Just stand on it, half on the dirt, from 80km/h. You'll soon find out.
