    Icon5 307 Touring parking sensor

My question is, does the parking sensor system installed in a 307 Touring work well?

The installer has suggested the rear bumper is too low to be useful for this system - i.e. it will give off false alarms.

    Any advice let me know.

The genuine Peugeot one works fine in the 407 .. so do a comparison of the 407 and 307 touring bumpers.

Decided to cut out the risk factor and book in for an install at the dealer, $ will be a bit more. I'll post the price when its done.

    Icon1 parking sensor installed

Parking sensor installed yesterday (17 Jan) by the dealer. Same day install - 3 and a half hours labour, parts $500+, total $800+.

The sensor isn't visible on the outside of the car, well at least I can't see where it is.

The speaker is on the inside of the rear left hand window.

The sound is quite loud and musical, plays a bit of a symphony. A bit of a change from another system we're used to which goes Beep, beep, BEEP!

Works well, was very helpful in reversing into the garage last night. Now if I can only be bothered trashing some of that junk in the garage then it will be even easier to park!

Other quotes I got were $500 and $400 so it can be done cheaper elsewhere, but those shops had a lot of doubts about how it would work on the low bumper in the 307 Touring, and didn't sound as though they had seen too many Peugeots through their doors.
