This 205 is near my work and I walk past it sometimes. On Fitzroy St. It stands outside but looks good. No real sign of the usual cracks behind the tops of the doors .... I keep wondering why but if it's only 90k maybe that explains it.

hmmm, those cracks behind the top of the doors... is that just the paint/filler cracking or something far worse?

It is just called drip sealer and is put between the join in the panels at this point. If the car has been stiffened or pushed hard regularly this crack in the drip seal gets a little longer. It can be anywhere from two inches to about seven like mine was. The body did not crack, was just flexed a lot from motorsport with stiff springs and bars and no cage.

This "crack" was subsequently filled and painted over before sale, and all modded equipment removed, bar the ported head. This was on a series two car in '95, long before they had got "old."
