    Default Need 406 guidance

    Hi Guys,

i'm looking at buying a 2000 406 HDi. It's a one owner car with only 54k miles and full history. All looks clean and sound to me. Is there anything especially to look for on these cars?

    Cheers,

make sure the timing belt has been changed at the right intervals and see when it is due again

cheap insurance for an otherwise expensive mistake if not changed and it breaks

in 405's i have heard of camshafts breaking when the belt lets go

other than that i have no other advice other than enjoy the car
