    Mi16 Rest In Peace

We had a pretty serious accident in the Mi16 tonight. Yeah, the car is pretty crumpled up--frontal impact offset to the driver's side. Of the four of us in the car, I was the only one not wearing a seatbelt (freaky since I always put one on) but I was in the backseat. Everyone else got bruised and sore, I busted my lip and nose on the driver's side headrest. What's worse is that one of the patella tendons in my left knee, which was injured in a soccer game when I was young, felt like it got smashed (again). Looks like I can't drive a manual-transmission car for a while...

    Thankful everyone survived.

Not the best news I've heard all day, and I bet that knee is more than just a nuisance... you didn't need this to happen to it!

Bad luck, Joe. Good that you're ok. Shame that there may be one less Peugeot in the meagre population over there . By the way, are seatbelts compulsory over there yet?

Yeah, but the seatbelt laws only apply to front seat passengers. Well, they also apply to children under 4 years regardless of seating position.

If the front seat passenger is not wearing a seat belt, the driver will get a ticket...

They don't care about back seat passengers.
