    Default Replacing gearknob

    hey guys,

i have a 1998 Peugeot 306 XSi, and i bought a MOMO gearknob which i want to fit. I tried getting my stock gearknob off, but i just cant figure out how to do it...and i cant see anything because of the gaiter..any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi anthony you loser ,

Its been a while since i've taken mine off, but from what i remeber it was a struggle, however its a case of twisting the thing until you find it has unlocked itself.
As i said it was a while ago since, but it was possible without to much trouble

Yep, you pretty much just twist the knob until it feels loose (unlocked) then should just lift off, the only thing is usually you have to file the plastic covering of the metal gear stick to fit the momo...I had to do this with my 306......then the car got broken into, guess what they took.....nuthn' but the Momo knob. One broken window and rain flooded car later...grr, you can tell i'm still bitter twisted over the whole thing!!
