Default 206 GTi 180 Tow Bar?

Is it possible to fit a tow bar to the 180?

I know the tow weights are very little, but so is what I want to tow.

I looked on the pug aus site, and under the leisure pack it says the leisure pack is unavailable for the 180, but that might be for other reasons.

    Any ideas?

That big mufler maybe a problem ... Gti138's can have a towbar fitted (seen one), can't say for 180's.

I think the main reason is the wieght of the car and purpose of the car i don't think they even thought about it. if you really wanted one i'm sure you can get it done, Can i ask what you plan to tow on the pack of the 180.

Yep you can get a tow bar for the 180. In Melb, there is an aftermarket supplier who can install it. My dealer called them up for a quote when I bought the vehicle - $260. PM me for details

    your the man nassty

thanks very very much ! check your pms!

im buying a boat hence why I was going to sell the car, well still am.

the total trailer weight of the boat is 400kg, which is well below the 560kg unbraked tow limit of the 180 (might just get brakes as well).

obviouslly I would need some anti rusting done as well, but its all freshwater use so shouldnt be to big an issue. and the car wont be getting wet anyway.

    how much is anti rusting?

are u going to be reversing the boat with the pug. Because if you were i would be worried about the exhaust and how deep you can get the car in the water. by the way hows your car selling got any phone calls smokey

its going pretty good thanks Marc.

had two offers, both below what I need to make it worth while.

besides, if a good price doesnt come up soon I will be keeping it and putting a tow bar on. spoke to a few people, doesnt seem like a big issue at all.

and whilst the tow weights are low, they are plenty for what I need, and the engine will suitly handle it (the size of the car is a huge factor in tow weights, so Im told, not the engine)

the car wont be going near the water, where I launch I use to have my boat in the water with my cars tires 1 meter from the water, and plenty more room. so no worries there.
