    Icon10 407 in Melbourne

Hi There just on my way to uni and low and behold

A new bronze 407 went past me just outside the royal melbourne Hospital. The driver was giving it buggery, and it sounded great. A lot noisier compared to the 406 but he was really giving it something.

    Nice coulour too

    Dave

Saw it on Toorak Rd in front of the Shell near the library.

Yeah, the comment made earlier somewhere that they look better in the flesh is extemely true. I was never too impressed by photos but when you see one, you want one.

i agree, i noticed it while filling up and just had my back to the fuel nozzle looking at the car, the metallic gray looks nice and like the megane and most other french cars, they look heaps better in the flesh than they do in mags and pics.

I went to my dealers launch of the 407 last night. Why? Free beer naturally!

I've said it before that they look much better in the flesh than in a pic. It was described by the Sydney head of Peugeot as Ferrari esq at the front. Certainly, the large smiling grill does remind you of them. The rear is very smart too. Like all Peugeots it's an individual car. Nothing else looks like it - good to see.

407 launch at City peugeot was a nice couple hours to spend. Ended up with a 407 keyring

The pricing was less than impressive with the 2.2l sedan goin for $42.7k and the SV V6 3ltr for 55k$ plus on road

While checking the NZ peugeot website, it gets irritating to see that it sells for about the same figues in NZD!!!!
407 feels cosy, yet comfortable, the seats are just great. They reminded me of Alfa Romeo's 156 seats. Although the leather in black felt more plastic than the 'executive' black 407 with beige leather and woodgrain touchups on the dash.

The rims, well the rims would definetly look fantastic on a 206

Overall it is an extremely smooth car (standing still) but anyone can test drive it this sunday. They have them in limited quantities (alright salesman pitch now) and will give good discounts (yeah right).

Myer is having some competition with a chance to win a 407 and they have a 407 (dark metallic grey) in the Bourke St store near the watch section with a plasma screen next to it with the ads running all day not to mention a lass to look pretty next to it all day!!!

So if you don't have time to visit a dealership, why not go Xmas shopping and check out the car too!
