    Default Oil Filter

    Hi
I've recently been to auto-one to buy a oil filter for my 180. They gave me a filter that was under 206 2L. Went i went to have a look under my car it was a different filter. I have the correct part name but just wondering where is the best place to get the 180 oil filter from.

    Default Oil Filters

I used to ride Honda Motorcycles and the dealer showed me the difference between genuine filters and non genuine and completely stuffed near new engines because cheap filters had been used.

After this Id make sure of the quality of any filters used in my vehicles.

I owned the CBX 1000cc six cylinder and some of these were ruined because owners fitted CB750cc filters in them to save $2-50!. They would fit but flow ratings were different!

Ive just changed oil for my 180 2 weeks ago, goto www.206gti.net or http://www.206gti.net/oilchange/
You'll get heaps of info for the 206 Gti & 180 on this site.

Got my filters from dealer service dept $26 for filter and $2.20 for washer.

    Works a treat

I used Shell Helix 5w40 as the manual recommends this grade but all the dealers use Mobil 1 Super Synth 0w50...

I'll probably use this from now on to keep the oil consistant.

Also buy an extra 1 litre bottle as the engine takes 5.3 litres (thirsty bugger) and oil only comes in 5L bottles
