Default Stud caps for 206 Gti 180

    Hi Peeps,

Ive just rotated the wheels on my 180 over the weekend after only 6000km tires are copping some punishment (i train to work and only get to drive on weekends) So weekend driving tends to be slightly enthusiastic.....plus throw in a track day

Anyways there are the Chrome caps that cover the actual studs on the rims (17").

When pulling them off with the little yellow remover device to my horror 4 out of the 12 were cracked and broken.....

This is the "1st" time ive even touched them

Has anyone else noticed that they are quite brittle and easy to break

Does anyone know what they cost to replace of the part numbers.....

Never broken one .. but by all accounts I believe they are something like $2 each .. nothing to break the bank.

The chrome stud caps for the 180 are:-

    Part no.#5408.12
    $5.50 each

Believe it or not there are 4 different types for the 206 -
the ones for the 180 are 17mm I.D.

They are available from your local dealer and NOT from a carpark....only a low life would steal parts off a parked car!!!...Karma...

I've needed a couple replaced as they have started to split across the top. My dealer have generally been nice enough to let me have them. I have a few spares now as I got the security locks on my wheels and they have different chrome caps.

I now have 4 spares in my glovebox - along with 4 spare bolts (just in case!)
