Default GTI6 - How many kms?

For all the Gti-6 owners in the forum, how many kms has your car done?

Most that I've seen come up for sale are under 100k.

Mine is a 1997, and has 135k kms, which im tipping is one of the highest, but is a fairly reasonable number for a 7 yr old car.

Everyone else, tell us how many

'98 model bought in around Nov' 2003 with 45K kms on it. Now has about 64K kms.

The lowest km one I know of is a 2000 model I saw advertised in carsales.com.au about 6 months ago, with 25,000kms. Asking price was 30K though!!

My car was complianced in early 2000, April or May I think. Can't remember its first reg date but it's in the bookwork somewhere.

When I bought it second hand in August 2001, it had about 25,000km. jastanis, they advertised this one at $33k three years ago. That place you mention must be dreaming ... either that or the late model GTi6s have held value very well, something I doubt as the 98-99s are so much cheaper nowadays.

Now it has about 97,500km, but I'm not driving as much now as I used to. (Probably only 12-15,000km a year now.)

The car's had three owners (including myself); it started life as a "Peugeot executive fleet" car, an honour I thought they only bestowed upon slow-moving 607s in the showroom

Like I mentioned in another thread, mine is around 67K for an early 98 model. Not too bad I guess. 1 previous owner who looks as if he didn't drive it for the last 2 years.

Rek, yeah I thought it overpriced too. Though when I checked back a couple months later it was gone..but could've been sold at a lower price.

Pugsy, I didn't see that article. Geez, that sounds way high though. Are they talking about current average used prices? Sounds really high. Makes my $21K w/3yr warranty sound like a real bargain heheh.

My 1998 has 115k. I acquired it almost exactly 4 years ago with about 30k. Most of mine are in and around Launceston, Tassie, but every month I get to blast down to the East Coast via Lake Leake. Those of you who know the road can picture the smile.

Must be in nice condition then!!

What's funny is that when I show people my car they're like "Is it new??" and I'm like "Well no, it's 6 years old." Goes to show that it holds its age well.

Mechanically very sound. It just has a few anonymous parking marks. I hate it when people drive into your car and then drive off.
