    Default VIN Location - 306 S16

Did a search, but no joy..

Where is the VIN normaly located on a 306 S16 (MY95)?

From Drive.com.au it suggests Drivers side door, but on mine, it is in the boot, center location where the boot meets the back of the car.

Odd or not? or just me being paranoid ?

    Cheers
    Dan.

On my 6 it is punched on to the drivers side front guard/panel (I think). Open up the bonnet and have a look at the topb bit of the guard that is normally hidden by the closed bonnet. Hope this helps.

I am pretty sure the vin can be found in both places (on the 6 anyway).

its on the drivers side front guard, but its dotted on (ie the numbers and letters are made up of lots of little dots) so it can be a real pain to read. Try this trick get some white board marker(or some dirty bit of grease) go over the whole section and then wipe with a rag.... read away_chris

yeah it should be on the drivers side front guard, and if mine is standard, then it will be an unpainted section of the panel. Can be hard to read
