    Default Peugeot shocks

Was in the other day getting some prices for shock absorbers, the brand that i was quoted on was Boege, the guy said these are the original shocks that come with the car.

Now i was always under the impression that peugeot made they own shocks and when i told him that he said no they are made by Boege.

The prices where exactly the same from peugeot themselves

Can anyone give me some more insight to this

Yes Peugeot make there own shocks, The ones on my 405 have Peugeot stamped in them.

If the price is the same, get the Peugeot ones.

Boege is a good make too, But I would rather have the Peugeot shockers on my car.

Definitely go genuine. I've driven a 205GTi with Boege shocks. It was OK, but more of a limo ride compared to genuine.

Boge is a German make like Sachs... both used to be cheap and nasty. Very Armstrong. But it's been a lot of years since I had a close look at one...

Ok just spoke to Sax Boge Aust. and they have confirmed that they do an aftermarket shock, but do not supply to peugeot factory.

However they did mention that at one stage peugeot was using boge shocks, but on early model cars.
