    Default 205 Gti Steering Issue

    All,

Currently when turning through sweeping right hand corners at 100+kph the front end will catch and then let go repeatably. Whereas left hand corners the steering is very consistant. Has anyone experienced this before?

Is it tyre wear on the LHS (Tyres appear to have fairly even wear all around)?
Is it the front left shock?

    Appreciate your thoughts.
    Cheers,

    Wildman,

Yes.. oh yes do I have this problem... and it is on sweeping right handers..

I've found that I've fixed 1/2 the problem. That is the lower control arm on the left. The locking bolt was worn away (i.e too thin) as well as x-threaded and not tight.... This was due to a suposed 'expert' peugeot specialist here in sydney that screw this one up for me... it was all fine until he had it for 2 days.. then this started...

Anyhow...Get a high tensile bolt and wack it in there... tighten until it bleeds.... that solve 90% of the issue for me.... If you want.. I know the size that you need.. I have a spare bolt from the packet at home...

the other 10% is either the rear left wandering (new trailing arm bearings needed) or the left control arm ball joint is knackered...

pm me with if you wish to talk about it
