Aww, choiboi be nice. The driver may have been the innocent party in the deal. Especially with all these dangerous P platers driving around at night

Seriously though, you are looking at lots of money in Airbags and Pretensioners alone methinks. That's what it's doing at the auctions..

Ouch. Damage to both guards, a missing wheel. I wonder what happened. It's gonna cost a fortune to fix. And what of the suspension damage?

I was also thinking that having those airbags deployed would be an expensive exercise. I'm glad my airbags didn't deploy when I got frontended at the traffic lights the other day.

Well, they are supposedly "smart" bags, in that they don't deploy at all for low speed impacts. They also have these tricky little sensors that can tell if someone is in the seat, and thus won't deploy the empty seat's bag(s) in that scenario.

It looks like this one shot its full complement though!

mate probably some p plater driving past his cerfuw with the car loaded up with 16 year olds
trying to show off and had a bingle,or maybe someone just had an ACCIDENT.you know the word everybody 'ACCIDENT' that which happens out of your control.but it probably was some p plater and it sounds better anyway and gives me a chance to vent off about p platers.
i dont think p platers should be blamed for every mishap but it is fun!
sorry to hear about you gettin front ended[what is front ended, did someone get you head on?]
by the way they made me go on p plates after 20 odd years driving as my liscence expired for more than 5 years cause i didnt have a car for that time.
how insulting having to wear p plates after 20 odd years of driving
how idiotic is it that they make it pretty easy for a young person to get a liscence without extended driver training but make people with expired liscence and 20 odd years of experienced driving go back to p plates for 3 years.
ok maybe for one year if its been a while since they have driven.but not 3.
anyway i seemed to have gotten off track of the subject but i did have a good vent-BAZZ

Like front seats for GTi138 owners or spare 17 inch rims for GTi180 owners.

I was sitting at a red light minding my own business when one car cut across another going through the intersection, and those two cars collided. One car spun around and rolled back into the front of my car. One minute I am watching the light and next minute I'm thinking, "What the f*ck is this silver Pulsar doing wedged into the front of my car?" Seriously pissed off over the whole thing.

As far as I know, Pickles doesn't use a reserve price. So all I can say is that if everyone except one person at the auction also had the attitude of not going near that car, that one person could well pick it up for a song and a dance! Might not be worth fixing, but as someone mentioned earlier..a 205 gti180 would certainly be unique and go hard!

I would def buy it if was home.
I really wonder how much its going to go for. Someone should go bid and sell it for parts. I know 180s are only new but i reckon those rims with the rubber on it would be worth a bit and putting the motor, seats and the rims and the exhaust in a 205 would be wicked as.

This is too good to miss. I am definitely going to Chipping Norton tomorrow to see how much the car is worth. Everyone in the office is telling me the car will probably go for $10k to 25k. I guess we'll see.

If it is dirt cheap, I might get it for the rims and give Gavin from 206gti.net the exhaust (I think he needs a new one).

SLC206, any parts that your want?

    Hahaha,

I wouldn't mind a real spare wheel, for drives and such. If I was heading across the Nullabour, I'd definitely be interested in one of those

It may even have one of those CD stackers that everyone else thinks is too expensive in it. The stalks are probably quite valuable (especially the COM2000!).

Just think, I could pull the whole thing apart and try and get more "How To" guides than Van up on 206gti.net

The engine alone I am guessing would be nearing the 20K mark so getting the whole car for around $15K (my guess) would be a bargain if you look at it that way.

What about the Com2000? You will probably need a spare.

Dunno if there would be that much real world performance difference between the XU10J4RS and the EW10J4S in a Xsara to make an engine swap worthwhile anyway.
